This was the first gala of its kind at Armthorpe. Our opponents were Knottingley who were overwhelmed by a very strong team performance from Armthorpe who ran out winners 71 points to 37. This was the first competitive gala for some of our swimmers who performed very well. For me the most outstanding swims of the afternoon were Sam Honeybones 30.85 for 50 Free and Ben Stilborns 25 Free of 16.75 and 50 Free 37.41. Well done to both of you. I am sure that there will be many pb's so keep an eye open on the notice board or this website to see how you did. The draw for the semi finals will take place shortly which will be a much tougher competition. Anyway, for now well done to all the swimmers and parents who helped run the gala. Incidently, many of the parents were doing jobs they had never done before but you wouldn't have noticed.
